The 'Log Lady' from Twin Peaks... sets a real precedent for genteel individualism.

Recently, I discovered a local 'Log Guy' at a crowded artisan event.

It was a well dressed guy carrying around a 6 foot 40 pound log over his shoulder... genteely making way for his protruding log, balanced over everyone's shoulders, as all the people in the crowd had to stand aside.

He sort of looked like he did it all the time. If the log lady can do it, so can anyone. I guess…

I’m sure the sadness will end… in about 4 years.
